Early in May 2010, I decided to lose 32 lbs.  I have made attempts to lose weight before and I did successfully lose 10 lbs in 4 months but I gained back 4 lbs within a week!

I ran 5 miles every other day and I ate very healthy organic and all-natural foods.  I didn't eat fast foods.  Early in March, I ran my first 10K.  It was very easy.  It felt like I could run for another 20K.  But when the pictures came out, I realized how big I was.  How can someone who feels so fit and healthy also be overweight?  So I calculated my BMI and what is considered healthy weight for my height and age.  I needed to lose 30 lbs. 

I've been hearing about Medifast from my sister and my aunt.  They seem to be losing a lot of weight really fast.  So I decided I needed to try what they were doing. 

I ordered my first Medifast variety pack mid-May.  Within one week, I lost 7 lbs.   It was very exciting!  After one month, I had lost 16.3 lbs. 

The results were very fast.  The Lean & Green I cooked myself were very simple.  Basically just meat or seafood with red pepper, salt and lemon and raw vegetables like lettuce, tomatoes or mushrooms.  After awhile, I decided I wanted to bring back the enjoyment in eating.  So I printed out a list of allowable condiments and was very surprised that there are a LOT of condiments allowed.  So, I went back to what I love most -- COOKING.

This brings me to the website.  I try to come up with recipes for Lean & Green Meals that meet the Medifast requirements.
